Some of Megan's Professional Accomplishments include the following:

• White Knight Diner, et al., v. Owners Insurance Company, Inc., 4:17-cv-02406-MTS, 2021WL3286821, I was responsible for voluminous discovery and litigation during this matter to prepare and assist the attorneys for successfully obtaining summary judgment on behalf of the client in a complex class-action case in which the plaintiffs challenged their client’s subrogation practices throughout the state of Missouri. The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri granted the client judgment as to all counts alleged in the insureds’ Petition after extensive discovery and briefing on the insureds’ class certification motion and cross motions for summary judgment. This significant victory on behalf of the client was followed by the dismissal of numerous similar actions against other insurers by the same firm in several courts in the State of Missouri.

• Arbitration Proceeding (2020). In March and April of 2020, I was the sole paralegal responsible for document discovery and review which lead to the success of attorneys when defending claims in excess of $10 million being asserted against a waterproofing contractor in a multi-week arbitration proceeding involving complex construction liability claims.

• Fluor Corp. v. Zurich American Insurance Co., 4:16CV00429 ERW, my role in this matter consisted of document discovery that involved more than twenty years of corporate document discovery and review in conjunction with working simultaneously with outside counsel on e-discovery platforms.  The extensive document discovery and review resulted in summary judgment being granted in favor of our client to the determination of the Policies' limits at issuance saving the client more than $300 million in claims against them.

• Madison County, IL, Criminal Murder trial (2021).  In July of 2021, I was responsible for assisting Madison County Special Defender in the defense of an alleged murder.  The discovery and trial preparation were key in successfully obtaining the jury verdict of immediate release and acquittal for the defendant claiming self-defense.
